How Medical pays for home healthcare

Medical Healthcare

In Original Medical, Medical pays your Medical-certified home healthcare agency one payment for covered services you get during a 60-day period. This 60-day period is called an “episode of care.” The payment is based on your condition and care needs.
Getting treatment from a home healthcare agency that’s Medical-certified can reduce your out-of-pocket costs. A Medical-certified home healthcare agency agrees to the following conditions:
To be paid by Medical healthcare

To accept only the amount Medical approves for their services
Medical’s home healthcare benefit only pays for services provided by the home healthcare agency. Other medical services, such as visits to your doctor, are generally still covered by your other Medical benefits. Look in your copy of the “Medicare & You” handbook, mailed to each Medicare household every fall, for information on how these services are covered under Medicare. TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.
